Peaceday 2021 – Intergenerational Assembly
21 September, 2021
Join us as we connect youth across the planet,
to explore how we can turn the crisis of the pandemic
into an opportunity for global renewal.
On September 19, 2020 members of the Global Youth Assembly, drawn from almost 100 cities worldwide, gathered together on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations, to discuss imminent and impending global issues.
The epicenter of the Global Youth Assembly was YOUTH ISLAND – a former sea fortress located a short sailing trip from the UN-City in Copenhagen. Since the fortress was handed over to the Danish Scouts five years ago, it has been transformed into a unique gathering place for young people from all over the world. On Peace day, September 21, a delegation of youth representatives sailed from Youth Island to the UN City in Copenhagen on a Viking Ship, to hand over the conclusions from the Global Youth Assembly to the world leaders.
